Neuro-Resilience

As your buildings and districts move to become more trauma-responsive, we believe that including students in the implementation process is vital. One of the most important steps in that process is to teach your students about trauma, stress, resilience, and how those things impact the brain.

The good news?

Katie Perez has a ready-to-use curriculum specifically created to support you in this very necessary step.

Katie’s instructional design follows a developmentally appropriate progression based on current neuro-informed science that can help you teach students about how their brains operate.

The lessons are short, engaging, and support students as they work through a toolkit designed to help identify when they are feeling mad, sad, glad, or afraid with strategies for self- and co-regulation.

The Building NeuroResilience Educators Guide and curriculum is available on our ESSDACK Online self-paced learning platform and is also designed as a professional learning opportunity for educators. The Guide and online course are the First Steps to helping your students understand their own thinking and behaviors.

By completing activities developed to assist in integrating the Educators Guide, you will earn 36 continuous learning hours with the option of receiving up to three graduate-level college credits.
