Janea has spent the past 16 years as an educator fostering a love of learning in countless students. She began her teaching career working at the elementary level, teaching 1st grade students for seven years followed by one year at 4th grade. What Janea loved most about these roles was creating a warm and nurturing classroom environment where her students felt safe and eager to learn.
After Janea's time as a classroom teacher, she embarked on a new adventure as a library and technology specialist at the high school and middle school setting. She curated a diverse collection of books that helped students discover their love of reading and that position also allowed for exploration of the benefits technology can have for students and teachers alike.
As a member of the Learning Services team, Janea looks forward to:
Collaborating with teachers, and school districts to make a positive impact on student learning through data and best practices.
Provide engaging professional development to school districts that will be applicable to their unique needs.
