Resources for Exhibitors
You and your organization are registered and ready to go for the Career Expo!
So now what?
Use the resources below to make your Expo experience more efficient and productive while creating an amazing experience for the students you’ll interact with.
Location and Time:
The ESSDACK Career Expo will be hosted at the Kansas State Fairgrounds in the Meadowlark and Sunflower buildings.
Two full days: Oct. 29th & 30th, 2024. 8:30am - 2:30pm
Students will arrive in staggered groups beginning at 8:30am.
Please stay until 2:30pm, out of respect for our students and schools who must attend in the afternoon.
Set Up Times:
Set up is Monday, October 28th, from 1-5pm, and Tuesday, October 29th, 7-8am
Contact Bryan Rohling for special arrangements - 620-931-2545 or bryanr@essdack.org.
Parking:
Parking for exhibitors is located on the south side of the Meadowlark building. Enter Gate 1, at the corner of 20th and Poplar Streets.
Lunch:
There is no scheduled lunch break.
Several food vendors will be available on-site and there are numerous establishments in the area.
Get a full-text list of off-site options.
Please make lunch plans in advance, because the on-site concessions will have a long wait.
Booth Expectations:
Students expect hands-on and interactive activities. Get suggestions and ideas that can help with this video or contact our team.
Student groups will arrive at different times during the Expo, so it is our expectation that your booth is staffed from 8:00am - 2:30pm.
Who’s coming?
We expect over 5,000 students will attend from over 80 school districts.
Get the full list of schools that will be attending this year.
Student groups will come and go throughout the day, typically spend around 2 hours exploring.
Parents of students are also invited! Getting parents involved will make the event more valuable for both students and exhibitors.
Booth Spaces:
All booths should be hands-on and interactive to engage and inform students!
Institutions & businesses that purchase multiple spaces will be grouped together.
Separate booth spaces are recommended for each program & career opportunity. Each booth will be listed separately in our event app.
Booth spaces are roughly 12' x 12' with a table and chairs. Additional outdoor space is available by request.

Student contact sharing is provided in the event app.
Booth spaces should be staffed from 8:30am - 2:30pm on both days. Please do not tear down early out of respect for participating students.

Career Expo Booth Maps
Use the following maps to assist you as you arrive and set up:
Career Expo App - Event Directory
The Career Expo App will be used by students to navigate the event. It will provide a list of all booth spaces with the option to filter by career field and cluster as defined by the National Career Clusters Framework. The Expo App will list your booth description, activities, and apprenticeship opportunities if applicable. The app is also used to exchange student contact information!
To begin using the app, go to expoapp.essdack.org or scan the QR code to the right.
It is a web-based app, there is no need to install it.
Students will use the app to create a favorites list as they plan their visit to the Career Expo.
Students can also share their contact information with exhibitors through the app!
Scan code to install. Learn how
Students don’t need more brochures and swag. (Though they still love that stuff!) They really need hands-on & interactive activities. Staci’s video can help with ideas.
We want to ensure that you and the students have the best possible experience! Let us know if you have questions or need some suggestions:
