Dr. Chad Higgins brings a wealth of experience and dedication to transforming education. Fueled by a deep passion for educators, leaders, and students, he embodies vision, relationships, and tireless advocacy.

Formerly a superintendent, principal, teacher, and coach, Dr. Higgins has quietly left his mark through impactful change initiatives. As the ESSDACK leader, he collaborated with team leaders to build a new model for serving educators where they are, physically and academically. He also facilitates strategic plans at various levels while fostering partnerships to expand services and expose educators to valuable resources.

Dr. Higgins' leadership is characterized by quiet determination. As superintendent, he implemented a district mantra to rebuild school and community culture, led successful bond issues for safe and innovative learning spaces, and championed collaborative strategic planning at the K-12 and college levels. He also navigated the complex challenges with peers in the dissolution and reformation of a special education cooperative.

As a lifelong learner. Dr. Higgins holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and teaches graduate courses for aspiring school and district leaders at Wichita State University. He was twice named a finalist for Kansas Superintendent of the Year and continues to mentor and coach new and veteran school leaders.

Dr. Higgins has been actively involved in numerous strategic initiatives in small and large communities and school districts. As described by a veteran board of education member, he displays a "unique combination of vision, commitment, and genuineness" and continues to shape the future of education through quiet leadership, strategic vision, and motivational speaking. He is dedicated to creating a brighter tomorrow through education.
